Real Madrid captain and star goalkeeper was benched for the first time in a decade during last Saturday’s game against Malaga and not surprisingly, Jose Mourinho’s side lost 3-2. My issue with this story is what kind of socks are those? Was he trying to blind Mourinho’s eyes with the bright red? Or he used it as a way to get his coach to notice him like “hey, see me sitting on the bench? I’m the reason y’all are getting pounded right now. Put me in the game already!” Rumors are rife that there is a rift between Mourinho and several prominent figures in Real including Casillas. Could this be the reason behind his being benched? Mourinho denies it.
