A nurse at the King Edward VII Hospital who put through a prank call to the Duchess’ private nurse has been found dead in a suspected suicide, the Daily Mail reports. She was found unconcious just yards away from the hospital where she worked for over 4 years and was declared dead on the scene by the police. St James Palace has released a statement about the incident: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Jacintha Saldanha. Their Royal Highnesses were looked after so wonderfully well at all times by everybody at King Edward VII Hospital and their prayers are with Jacintha Saldanha’s family, friends and colleagues at this very sad time'. The two Australian radio hosts, Mel Greig and Michael Christain who called the King Edward VII Hospital a day after the Duchess was admitted pretended to be Queen Elizabeth and the Prince of Wales and were transferred to Kate’s private nurse by Saldanha. They have decided that they will not return to their radio show until further notice out of respect for what can only be described as a tragedy.
